With its trendy boutiques and cast-iron facades, this can only be Soho, New York City. This Lower Manhattan, New York City neighborhood started as an industrial and commercial center in the 19th century. As Soho declined in commercial importance in the late 1960’s, many of its abandoned buildings were repurposed by artists looking for low-cost residences. Now, Soho has some of the most expensive residential real estate in Manhattan. This photo shows a slice of life on Soho’s busy streets. Photo by Don Peterson.
Camera: Fuji FinePix S2 Pro (6 megapixels DSLR). I used this camera with an old used Sigma kit zoom lens (I forgot the model). This shows how good this old Fuji DSLR is at rendering color and fine detail.
