The Jemez Mountains offers some of the most diverse landscapes in New Mexico. Located west of Santa Fe, this area is popular for fishing and camping, and is well known for its red rock vistas located in the Jemez Pueblo. This photo shows the rugged beauty of the red rock located near the Walatowa Visitor Center in the Jemez Pueblo. I photographed this scene more than a decade ago on 35mm film (Kodak Gold), and it remains one of my favorite photos of this quietly beautiful area. A leisurely drive along The Jemez Trail is a great way to spend a day if you plan to visit Santa Fe or Albuquerque, New Mexico. Photo by Don Peterson.
This photo of Jemez Red Rock is available as a free high-resolution download for personal use, and is suitable for printing and framing. Since this is an old 35mm film scan, I would not recommend it for photo print enlargements above 9×12 inches. Click the “Free Download” button for instant download.
