In Web Design, Simple Is Best

Over time, the code has become more bloated, the pages began to load more slowly, all in the name of progress. I began to miss the simplicity of blogging in the “old days.” A simple menu, search bar, and your content. A bit of color and trim. When done right, it was elegant, simple and clear. Well, I’m going back. I’m sticking to the principles that have driven my web design business for more than ten years (as shown in the sample below). Keep it simple. Simple is elegant, It endures. Unlike complicated, fussy web design, it ages well. It informs and motivates with clarity.
I love simplicity. Take something complex and make it digestible, easy to comprehend. So, in that spirit, I’ve gone back to a simpler time in this redesign of stylepeterson.com. It is not fussy, but it works for me. It draws the eye to the focus of each page, the photography. I hope you like it! I will be adding more new photos in the days ahead so please bookmark us and return. Please stop by my web design portfolio if you need web design for your business or personal web site.
