One of my favorite DSLR cameras of all time is the Olympus E-300. This early 8 Megapixel camera was not the best of the bunch in its day. Its low-light performance was barely usable. However, the E-300 had a sensor made by Kodak, and that heritage showed in the way it rendered colors in bright sunlight. This was Kodachrome slide film reborn in digital form. Nikon and Canon by comparison were producing more realistic but duller colors in their early consumer DSLR's.
