One way to get more value for your photography budget do is to purchase older lenses from the film era. This photo was shot with a 40-year-old Pentax Takumar 200mm F4 lens on a Sony A200 DSLR camera. This lens requires manual focusing. However, by using a camera body that provides focus confirmation and in-body image stabilization, you can easily overcome this limitation and produce consistently sharp images. This lens cost me $28 used (including the adapter). It produces beautiful results. I spend the money I save to visit photogenic places!
