Times Square Restaurant at Night. This image of a restaurant in the Times Square neighborhood of New York City was shot on a beautiful fall night. The colors, textures and style of this Mexican restaurant captured my eye and provided a nice contrast to the colorful post-sunset sky. Camera: Canon 10D, Sigma 24-70mm F3.5-5.6 Aspherical Lens. Raw image edited with Lightzone 3.8, resized and sharpened in Photoshop CS2. By the way, the lens I shot this image with (Sigma 24-70mm F3.5-5.6) sold brand new for about $135.00. This inexpensive lens was stopped down to F:13 and used with a tripod for this shot. Is the image sharp enough for you? Use of a good tripod, stopping down the lens to its sharpest apertures, and proper sharpening in post-processing is more important than having the most expensive lens in photos like this!
