Times Square Color

Times Square Color. This has to be one of the most colorful intersections in America. I find the corner of 42nd Street and 8th Avenue often has good natural light that flatters the activity and architecture of this corner. With the sun behind you, and facing uptown, the faces are well exposed, the shadows have lots of detail, and the overall scene is evenly exposed. The flurry of colorful activity here makes this corner in Times Square a great place to capture lively, well lit photos.
Camera: Canon 10D, Tokina 19-35mm F:3.5-4.5 lens. I have been using the free raw converter Scarab Darkroom quite a bit for editing my raw images. It gives colors a nice ‘pop’ and renders the deep ‘contrasty’ tones I like to see in my photos.
