Times Square Billboards. This view of the corner of 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue shows a sample of the oversized billboards adorning New York City’s most glittering neighborhood. The billboard to the far left is an advertisement for Yahoo.com, showing a woman covered with computer icons as tattoos. I suppose that provides a commentary on where we are headed (or where we presently are) as a society. And, knowing the power of suggestion, I would not be surprised if some young people copy that idea on their own bodies. Sigh . . . I can remember when good taste was considered a virtue.
