The Peking, South Street Seaport Museum

The Peking, South Street Seaport Museum. This New York photo shows the Peking, perhaps the most impressive ship moored at the South Street Seaport Museum in downtown Manhattan. As long as a football field, and with 18-story tall masts, this 4 masted ship is an impressive wind powered merchant vessel. She carried cargo from Germany to South America from 1911-1932, and was used as a boys school for many years after that. I captured this photo during a winter’s twilight with a Samsung GX 1S and 18-55mm kit lens.
