The Colors of Autumn

The Colors of Autumn. This photo of fall foliage is a pleasant reminder of what lays just behind us as we (in the northeastern US) dig out of the record-breaking first snowfall of the winter! This photo was captured with my Canon 10D and Tokina 19-35mm F3.5-4.5 lens ( an excellent lens for budget-minded photographers if you can find one used).  I used Capture One 6 to convert the raw image. Capture One allows you to select the color profile (ICC Profile) for a wide range of cameras and apply it to any raw image from any camera. I have always admired the Velvia Film-like look of images from the Fuji S3 DSLR, so I selected its ICC Color Profile and applied it to this Canon 10D raw image. It gave me the more vivid color rendering that you see in this photo.
