South Street Seaport

South Street Seaport, New York City. ⇑
This view of the South Street Seaport in downtown Manhattan (NYC) shows ships in dock as seen from the 3rd Floor of Pier 17. The Seaport features some of the oldest architecture in downtown Manhattan, and includes the largest concentration of restored early 19th-century commercial buildings in the city. This includes renovated original mercantile buildings, renovated sailing ships, the former Fulton Fish Market, and modern tourist malls featuring food, shopping and nightlife. It also offers one of the finest views of the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City (go to the third floor of Pier 17). The three permanently docked ships seen here are part of the South Street Seaport Museum, and can be toured with admission to the museum.
