Shiny New York City
This photo, captured in New York City’s Times Square, highlights the bright shiny chrome and glass of Times Square illuminated by supersized LCD billboard displays. I captured this image at twilight using a Canon 10D and Tamron 19-35mm lens. I highly recommend the Canon 10D to anyone looking for a low cost but full-featured used DSLR camera (the body typically sells for less than $200). It is a sturdy camera with image quality that remains competitive. The Tamron 19-35mm is an affordable (typically under $100 used) older wide-angle lens that is sharp and a perfect match for the Canon 10D. I edited this image in raw mode using DXO 6. A mild one-image HDR effect was applied in DXO 6 to increase the contrast in this image.
