Rush Hour, Times Square

Rush Hour, Times Square. A harried commuter rushes across 7th Avenue in the Times Square neighborhood of New York City. Jaywalking is practically an art form in New York City, and a practice many feel is born out of necessity. You can hardly make you way through the city without jaywalking due to traffic density. I find however, that as I get older I am much more inclined to be patient when crossing busy intersections, walking more defensively. With all the cellphones, smartphones, and ipods engaged by both pedestrians and drivers, people are more distracted than ever. That realization has made me a more careful commuter.
