This photo shows rush hour on 42nd Street in New York City. The huddled masses rush towards the Port Authority Terminal on 42nd Street & 8th Avenue at 4:30pm. This scene also shows the AMC 25 movie theater in the background. As you may have guessed it houses 25 movie screens (yes, that’s right, 25) and is considered one of the best movie theaters in New York (plush theaters, great sound). It will usually play the most popular movies on simultaneous screens to accommodate heavy crowds. For that reason, it is a great movie house if you must see a highly anticipated movie on the first day. Because this is 42nd Street, don’t expect to see much beyond the typical action movie genre here. This photo was captured with my pocket camera, an Olympus SP-350.
