New York Times & Port Authority

New York Times Building

New York Times Building & Port Authority. These photos shows a stylized view of architectural details of the New York Times Building at 620 8th Avenue along with a corner view of the Port Authority Terminal on the corner of 42nd Street and 8th Avenue. One of the busiest intersections in New York City come rush hour, it is also the hub for Times Square, one of NYC’s most visited tourist destinations. Interestingly, the Times Square area gets its name from the New York Times when the newspaper made its headquarters in this area in 1904. These photos were captured with my pocket digital camera, an Olympus SP-350. It was captured in raw mode using aperture priority set at F3.5, and edited in Adobe Lightroom 3. In good light, the better small sensor digital cameras set at their lowest ISO setting can produce very satisfying image quality.
