New York City Street Scene

New York City Street Scene. This slice of life view of a New York City street was captured on 34th Street in Manhattan, just across from Penn Station. The warm early evening light and contrasting shadows caught my eye in this scene. It is one of the few photos I’ve shot on the street that shows someone looking straight into the camera. Her curious expression adds an interesting element to the composition. Generally speaking, if you look presentable and pleasant, it is quite easy to photograph people on the street. New Yorkers are themselves one of this city’s most artistic attractions.
