Even a pile of trash next to a New York City high-rise apartment building can look good in the right light! I like shooting in the winter months as the sunsets come earlier in the day and often have intense colors. This photo was captured on the corner of 6th Avenue and 53rd Street (as best as I can remember). I was intrigued by the color in this otherwise mundane scene. Shot with a Nikon D3000 and 18-55mm VR lens, tripod mounted.
