New York at Night, Arizona In the Day

Stagecoach, Old Tuscon Movie Studio, Tuscon, Arizona. ⇑
The contrast between two of my favorite places, New York City and Tuscon, Arizona could not be more dramatic! The photo above shows a scene from Old Tuscon Movie Studio, in Tuscon, Arizona. This western movie studio could not be set in a more realistic location, nestled in the rugged mountains above downtown Tuscon. In addition to being the setting for many westerns, this is a tourist attraction that provides an authentic feeling taste of the old western lifestyle that was once a part of this area. This is “Billy the Kid” country! The old stagecoach in this scene has probably been seen more than once in a number of old western action movies filmed here. Old Tuscon Movie Studio is a wonderful attraction, and one of the most fascinating stops I made in Tuscon, Arizona.

Midtown New York City Street at Night. ⇑
Now contrast that rugged setting with the vivid colors of midtown New York City at night! This New York City setting shows a residential side street near Central Park. This photo was taken just after sunset. The sky is still aglow, adding a wonderful contrast to the street and window lighting. These photos were captured with two different cameras. The Tuscon, Arizona photo was captured with an older Olympus E-300 with kit lens, and the New York City scene was shot with a Nikon D60, and kit lens. You can see more Arizona and New York City photos in my Sights & Places Photo Gallery.
