Morgan Stanley, Times Square

Morgan Stanley, Times Square, New York City. ⇑ It has struck me as oddly curious that so many powerful investment firms have set up shop in the Times Square area of New York City. Times Square, after all, is pure entertainment, style without substance . . . It is the perfect reminder that everything that glitters is not gold. Is this really where you want the guy who manages your life savings to spend his days? The recent financial meltdown notwithstanding, there is something about this that gives me pause . . . Investing in the markets does bear a close resemblance to gambling . . . Perhaps these gaudy, glittering Times Square towers of Wall Street gambler barons is our Las Vegas . . . Anyhow, here is a photo of the Morgan Stanley headquarters in Times Square headquarters glittering like a giant bauble at twilight.
