In Front Of The NYPL

One of the quieter moments in front of the NYPL (New York Public Library, Stephen A. Schwarzman Building) on 42nd Street and Fifth Avenue. The courtyard of this iconic building is a great place to take a bag lunch, grab a seat, and watch the world go by. Given its location, the world passing by can be quite interesting. One of the well loved twin lions can be seen in this photo. The exterior of the NYPL Stephen A. Schwarzman Building is currently being renovated. The sandblasting technique they are employing is unfortunately wearing away quite a bit of the sharp architectural details of this classic structure.
