Hey, Are You Guys Models?

Hey, Are You Guys Models? The great thing about street photography in New York City is the realness of it all. People are what they are here. However, every once in a while a shot comes along that looks eerily perfect. I was photographing people on the street near Times Square in New York City, when this couple stopped precisely where the light was perfect, struck a pose long enough for me to focus carefully, and then left. They looked like the type of models you see in department store ads, and the pose reminds me of a cigarette or chewing gum commercial. Maybe they are models or actors, and were playing with me. By the way, is that lipstick he’s wearing? Now here is the really wierd part of the story. This shot seen below was shot only a few minutes later. Again the girls look like models, the makeup is perfect, and they were standing in perfect lighting. And, they are holding the same model camera as the first couple! Now, what do you make of that?

Anyhow, these images were shot with my 30 year old Vivitar 70-210mm Series 1 manual lens mated to my Samsung GX 1S DSLR.
