East River Waterfront

East River Waterfront

The East River Waterfront was home to one of New York’s earliest open-air fish markets, The Fulton Fish Market. This scene shows a view of the East River Waterfront area in downtown Manhattan. While the fish market has been relocated to the Bronx, the South Street Seaport, Pier 17, and numerous restaurants continue to attract tourists and locals to this area. This photo captures somber, overcast light on an early spring day on the East River waterfront.
