Friendly New Yorkers, Soho

Friendly New Yorkers. You meet them everyday! I saw these two guys having a conversation on a bench outside of an Italian restaurant in Soho (New York City). I instantly saw the potential for a great shot. Just look at the light, the textures, and mood of the photo. It looks like something from a Milan side street! So, I asked if they would mind if I took their photo while they chatted. When I ask, I do so with the realization that the answer could possibly be no. If it is, I graciously say goodbye and move on. However, they said yes, sure! Then, just as I take the shot they both turn away from the camera. Wouldn’t it have been easier just to tell me no?
