Fifth Avenue, 42nd Street

The intersection of Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street is seen in the photo above. Captured on a bright summer day, it shows a typical lunchtime crowd making its way along Fifth Avenue. The second photo shows a view of Fifth Avenue near 39th Street. A trio of matching backpacks provides an unusual design element in this photo. Both photos were captured (on different days) using the camera I always have with me, an Olympus SP-350. This pocket sized digital camera does not provide quite the same quality as a DSLR, but can do quite well, especially in good light. Having a small secondary camera allows me to capture interesting scenes no matter where I am at during the day. I always shoot in raw to extract the best possible image quality from images captured with this camera.
