This stylized view of the Empire State Building, 34th Street, New York City was captured on a particularly colorful winter evening. The combination of sunset colors and street lighting added beautiful tones to the overall composition. This was captured with my pocket camera, an Olympus SP-350. I held the camera against a sturdy street pole to keep it is still as possible for this low light exposure. In New York City, I prefer shooting in twilight, rather than after the sky becomes completely dark. The mixing of light colors generated by sky and street lighting often creates unexpected surprises that make for beautiful photos!
