Eighth Avenue

Eighth Avenue, in New York City at 48th Street is the subject of this photo. This area contains a mix of hotels and residential buildings, and benefits from its proximity to the Broadway theater district and Times Square. This photo, captured on a summer evening, shows the typical mix of residents, tourists, and workers in this busy area. I captured this image with my pocket camera, the Olympus SP-350. The raw image was edited and converted using Adobe Lightroom 3.
