City Hall, News Stand. This news-stand is located just outside New York City’s City Hall in downtown Manhattan. Although it was built this year, it follows the traditional architectural style of older downtown buildings, including City Hall. I was attracted to the moody, shadowy look of this setting and the graphic extremes of light and dark. The “star effect” seen in the bright street lights comes from using a small lens aperture F:16 for this photo. Camera: Canon 10D, Tokina 19-35mm lens.
