Hmmm. Similes, metaphors, and parables pop into mind when I contemplate this image captured on 34th Street in the Fashion District of New York City. In fact, in represents the three things people quite easily connect with New York City, big business, subways, and crime. I shot this image primarily because I was drawn to the use of red in this composition. Red is such a vibrant color, and brings life to any composition, as it certainly does here.
