The Red Sands of Jemez, New Mexico⇑

The subject of this photo is nothing special . . . it shows portion of a modest ranch used for grazing cattle in the town of Jemez, New Mexico. In fact, you can see plenty of cowpies on the pasture. However, I was moved enough by this scene to stop my car, setup a tripod and capture it. Why? Look at the colors. How they compliment each other, from landscape to sky. Also, look at the layers of color as the landscape unfolds in the distance. It is rugged land, yet blessed with a unusual color palette. This is the quiet beauty of New Mexico.
