Jemez Red Rock, Walatowa Visitors Center

The handsome Jemez red rock near the Walatowa Visitors Center in the Jemez Pueblo is the subject of this photo. The Jemez Visitors Center is a great stop on the Jemez Mountain Trail. It allows a glimpse into the life of Native Americans in the Jemez Pueblo, and a view of some of the most beautiful red rock buttes in the Jemez Mountains. With all that my hometown, New York City has to offer, it is not nearly as satisfying as being out in the open country in places like this. God’s handiwork nourishes the spiritual man.
