This photo of Jemez Pueblo Red Rocks was captured on a moody day. A storm was fast approaching in the Jemez Mountains, adding a rich palette of color to the sky. This view is seen in the Jemez Pueblo directly across from the Walatowa Visitors Center. The Jemez Pueblo has recently added daily tours of the red rock region for a very modest $5.00 fee (photography fee additional) something that was not available during the years I lived in New Mexico. I highly recommend the tour. The red rock region is even more fascinating when seen up close!
