Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Next week, the most colorful annual event in Albuquerque, New Mexico will take place. The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is a delightful display of hot-air balloons from around the world. Sigh . . . I cannot be there this year. Here are a couple of photos captured at the Special Shapes Rodeo during the Balloon Fiesta in 2006. A crowd favorite, The Twin Bees, is shown in the first photo. If ever you can, you must see this spectacle at least once in your life.
