Spring Flower Photography – Kodak 400 Film, 2007

As spring blooms anew, a man’s heart turns to . . . photography . . . What do I love about photography in the spring? Let me count the ways . . . Cherry blossoms in Central Park . . . tulips in Brooklyn Botanical . . . the tender green of new leaves . . . the vivid colors of young blooms after a gentle rain.

This spring I intend to be well prepared. I’ve upgraded my camera, invested in a new lens for macro photography and made a careful selection of filters for capturing beautiful light. I am also practicing my composition and and exposure skills so as the be in peak form in the coming weeks.  Having lived in the heart of the Sonoran Desert (Arizona) for three years, I did little flower photography. Well, I intend to catch up this spring in a big way! So, if you love flowers, be sure to pay me a visit in the weeks ahead. StylePeterson will be in full bloom! As a bonus, I will be adding photography tips that will help you to improve your flower and bloom photography.
