This photo shows two colorful flowers among the beautiful array found in The Conservatory Garden in Central park, New York City. What joy flowers can bring to the heart! Yet, they also reveal the genius of a mathematician in their design. This seed head of this coneflower reveals a mathematical arrangement called Fibonacci numbers. This arrangement or algorithm is found in the design of many flowers, both in the seed head and number of petals. How could something that evolved by chance (as the Theory of Evolution suggests) reveal such consistent and brilliant mathemematical arrangement? Does it not, rather, strongly suggest the purposeful application of advanced engineering principles by an Intelligent Designer?
