Mallard Duck

This beautiful Mallard Duck was photographed in a fishing lagoon in Papago Park, Phoenix, Arizona. In the winter, the early evening sun is quite low in the sky and creates beautiful reflections in the water and a golden cast that shows the Mallards at their best. This image was created with what remains one of my favorite cameras: The Nikon D40. You can buy more expensive cameras but you will not necessarily get a better photo from them. The Nikon D40 combined with the kit 18-55mm lens and the Nikon 55-200mm VR lens (used in this photo) is all the tools most photography enthusiasts will ever need. If you are a new photographer looking for a bargain used DSLR that will produce top quality results, look no further than the D40!
