Female Mallard on Baby Blue Waters

This photo, of a beautiful female Mallard Duck on the baby blue waters of Papago Park was captured on a delightfully pleasant winter afternoon. The late afternoon sun created a wonderful warm light that enhanced reflections in the water and set the perfect mood for capturing these charming creatures. This was captured with a Nikon D40 and Nikon 55-200mm VR lens, a very capable setup for capturing wildlife in close settings like this.
