The Cherry Blossoms Are Coming!

The cherry blossoms are coming! The cherry blossoms are coming! Aaaaah, for me this is one of the highlights of spring. Indeed, it is my clarion call that spring has truly arrived. The 2010 Cherry Blossom Festival will be celebrated in Branch Brook Park in Newark for the dates of April 10-18. I will be there, basking in the glory of delicate white blossoms with camera clutched nervously in hand. Having missed the Cherry Blossom Festival for six years (living in the southwestern US), this will be a real treat for me. This early blossoming cherry blossom was photographed today on the New Jersey Performing Arts Center grounds (NJPAC) in downtown Newark.
