Cherry Blossom Tree, Muted Landscape, Branch Brook Park

The overall weather for the 2011 Essex County Cherry Blossom Festival was rather cloudy and rainy. As a result, I did not shoot many landscape photos that included the sky this year. I focused on images that conveyed the subtle color palettes revealed by the shadowless light and misty conditions. This photo shows a portion of Branch Brook Park near Heller Parkway in Belleville. I was struck by how the subtle early spring earth-tones complimented the pink and white cherry blossom blooms in this scene. Of course, the photo cannot fully convey the beauty I found in this setting.

Camera: Canon Rebel XS, Canon 55-250mm IS EF-S lens. I often use the Canon 55-250mm lens handheld when to shoot landscapes. It allows me to isolate details and has beautiful color rendition and sharpness. Go to Amazon.com for a great deal on the Canon 55-250mm EF-S Telephoto Zoom lens.
