Cherry Blossom Trees, Branch Brook Park, On The Canal

The weather during the 2011 Essex County Cherry Blossom Festival in New Jersey was overcast and misty for most of the week. Therefore, I could not shoot vivid white cherry blossoms against baby blue skies this year. The misty, overcast light provided the opportunity for more subtle renderings of the landscape and cherry blossom blooms. This photo shows a setting on the Canal in the Belleville section of the park. Cherry blossom trees overhang the closest approximation of a waterfall in Branch Brook Park (I should have cloned out the black plastic bag in the left corner of the photo!).
