This photo is from my first visit to Sedona, Arizona more than four years ago. I knew on that day that I would find myself here as often as possible. That red rock has a flinty, sinewy earthiness that dares to be explored and challenged. Being in this place is better than any movie or fancy restaurant. Indeed, for the three years I lived in Phoenix, I went to the movies only once, preferring to spend as much time as possible exploring these intriguing natural theaters. This is truly God’s country.
