Phoenix desert colors have a rich palette of their own. This desert view from Papago Park in Phoenix, Arizona, shows rugged red soil topped by patches of orange, green, grey and yellow. Granted, this is no lush botanic garden. However, this ecosystem is just as hardworking, supporting a variety of wildlife including coyotes, rabbits, and birds, lizards, snakes of all types. It is also perfect for a winter hike or picnic!
