Papago Park Red Rock Sunset, Phoenix, Arizona ⇑

One of the unique pleasures of living in Phoenix, Arizona is access to Papago Park, a slice of Sonoran Desert in the city proper. To be able to witness a sunset like this, draped across the rugged red rock buttes of Papago is both sublime and priceless. And, having just a ten minute drive home after doing so was even better! This photo was captured during on of my early evening winter hikes in Papago Park. It was captured with my tripod mounted Nikon D40 and kit lens.
