Encanto Park, is my favorite urban park in Phoenix, Arizona. This beautifully designed and maintained urban space is located in an attractive residential historic district of downtown Phoenix. It offers fishing, swimming, golf, picnic sites, and an amusement park among its attractions. Its design is enduring, and a graceful compliment to the city of Phoenix. This scene shows a man-made waterfall on one of the lagoons that course through this lovely park. . .

Encanto Park is very photogenic, and provides a charming backdrop for wedding and portrait photographers. As a photographic subject, it is best captured in the early morning or late afternoon especially during the summer months. The suns’ midday glare is best avoided by shooting at those times. This photo was captured on a late October afternoon using an Olympus E-300 and kit lens.
