If there was ever an American city created by artists, it would be Santa Fe, New Mexico. The city planners of Santa Fe borrow from the old to create the new. It is a strategy that works beautifully. Pueblo Revival architecture is paired with well-chosen visual accents sampled from Native American and Spanish culture. No matter where you look, there are details that engage the eye of the artist and photographer. This is my favorite city for strolling aimlessly, always with camera in hand. Santa Fe, New Mexico is our Paris, France, and a worthy addition to your travel bucket list.
